The class 250, after 1992 155, is the first of the second generation of electrics in the GDR and is used with most kinds of heavy freight trains all over Germany these days. It’s rather simple design has brought it a lot of nicknames, such as “Electric container” or “Rasender Ziegelstein”, which can be very roughly translated to “Roaring Brick”. Here, one of them drives through Aachen Central Station.
