I’m often surprised by my pictures when I download them, but it’s very, very rare that I like them better than expected. This is an example for that. I really like this picture because lighting and color is very much not what I usually manage to take.

There’s a backstory involving railroad maintenance and the like, but it’s boring even by my standards. Herzogenrath, where this was taken, just isn’t that interesting. By the way, I was not trespassing, I was standing on the way that leads from the platform to the parking garage. The train is, as always, a class 643.2 DMU by Bombardier, manufacturer’s name Talent, owned and operated by DB specifically for the Euregiobahn network.
