Is it “unexpected twists in final panel” week? And I’m talking about story, not punchlines here.

First, Max apparently knows that everybody hates him. Alright, that works as an introduction, although it is surprisingly fast. Then, however, we hear how Max (apparently) stole Cole’s girlfriend in College, which was very unexpected since it was never mentioned in PvP-lore before (at least as far as I know). Now, we learn that Max is homosexual. All these may be valid points for characterization, but the pacing is so extreme that I can’t shake off the feeling we’ll learn that Max is Jade’s half-brother, thought lost, tomorrow. I do wonder what the guys at PVP makes me sad will make of this.
